On 14 December 2019, the Disabled Welfare Society (DWS), in collaboration with Leonard Cheshire Disability Bangladesh (LCDB) and with support from Rotary Bangladesh, organized a breast cancer checkup program for women with disabilities at the LCDB office, Dhaka.
The event was attended by Mr. Kairul Alam, District Governor, Rotary Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest; Mr. Rubayet Hossain, DGIE, Rotary Bangladesh; Mr. Monsur Ahmed, Founder Trustee, Impact Foundation, as Special Guests; along with Ms. Morjina Ahmed, Executive Director of DWS, and DWS officers and staff.
The program began with a welcome address by Ms. Morjina Ahmed, who emphasized the importance of breast cancer awareness and regular checkups. The initiative aimed to promote early detection and health awareness among women with disabilities, contributing to their well-being and empowerment.
