On 05 February 2024, Disabled Welfare Society (DWS), with the support of Bachar Lorai, organized a program at Shekhertek, Adabor to protect vulnerable communities from dengue fever, which had caused many deaths in the area due to Aedes mosquito bites.
As part of the initiative, mosquito nets and waste bins were distributed among poor and persons with disabilities to help safeguard them from dengue and to promote a healthier environment.
The program was graced by Mr. Shahiduzzaman, Social Services Officer, Region-5, and Kazi Rakib Uddin Ahmed, prominent social worker, along with Ms. Morjina Ahmed, Executive Director of DWS, and other distinguished guests.
A total of 50 poor and persons with disabilities received mosquito nets and waste bins, which will contribute significantly towards preventing dengue infection and ensuring better community hygiene.
