We are delighted to share that Disabled Welfare Society (DWS) successfully organized a Chess Competition for Visually Impaired and Deaf Players on 11–12 December, celebrating International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
📍 Venue: Shahid Farhan Faiaz Playground for Disabled Persons
♟️ Participants:
• 40 Visually Impaired Players
• 20 Deaf Players

This inspiring event highlighted the talent, determination, and sporting spirit of persons with disabilities. From each category, four participants were awarded — 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, and Best Female Player, recognizing excellence and encouraging future participation in inclusive sports.
We were honored by the presence of distinguished guests including respected members of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), representatives from UNDP Bangladesh, Sightsavers Bangladesh, and other esteemed dignitaries who encouraged and supported the participants with great enthusiasm.
