On 24 May 2019, the Disabled Welfare Society (DWS), in collaboration with Anwar Group of Industries, organized an Iftar gathering for 100 persons with disabilities to mark the holy month of Ramadan.
The event was attended by K.M. Shahiduzzaman, Social Services Officer, Social Services Office–6, Dhaka, along with Ms. Mushtari Begum, Chairman of DWS, Ms. Morjina Ahmed, Executive Director of DWS, and other distinguished guests.
Through this Iftar program, DWS shared joy and solidarity with persons with disabilities. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the organization and prayed for the event to be conducted on an even larger scale in the future. The Executive Director, Ms. Morjina Ahmed, assured participants that DWS plans to expand the scope of this program in the coming years to reach more persons with disabilities.
