The Disabled Welfare Society (DWS) distributed winter blankets to 100 poor visually impaired families in Tongi, Gazipur, Dhaka to help them cope with the cold season.
The program was attended by Mr. Anwarul Karim, Deputy Director, Department of Social Services, Gazipur, Dhaka, as the Chief Guest; Mr. A.F.M. Amanullah, Social Services Officer, UCD, Tongi, Gazipur; Ms. Rabeya Khatun, Social Services Officer, Tongi, Gazipur; Mr. Jahangir Alam, Executive Director, NFA VH, Tongi, Gazipur; Ms. Morjina Ahmed, Executive Director of DWS; along with other officers and staff.
The beneficiaries expressed great joy upon receiving the blankets. This initiative provided meaningful support to underprivileged visually impaired individuals, helping them stay warm during winter. DWS remains committed to continuing its annual winter blanket distribution program for persons with disabilities in the future.
