In 2021, the Disabled Welfare Society (DWS), in collaboration with Bancharlorai, an international organization, organized a distribution program of winter clothing and essential food items for underprivileged and disabled persons during the COVID-19 pandemic and the winter season.
The program was attended by Bir Muktijoddha M. A. Rashdi, Chairman of Bandar Upazila Parishad and President of Bandar Upazila Awami League, as the Chief Guest. Special guests included Niyaz Uddin Ahmed, Senior Social Services Officer; Fakhruddin Islam Shuvo, Manager, IFIC Bank, Nabiganj Branch; and Mr. Anwar Hossain, Principal, Study Corner Garden.
The initiative provided critical support to vulnerable persons with disabilities, helping them meet their basic needs during the pandemic and winter season, and reflecting DWS’s continued commitment to social welfare and empowerment.
